Biography

Carl Ludwig Wilibald Grimm's unwed mother gave birth to him on November 1, 1807, in Jena, Germany. Grimm studied Latin and Greek before entering the University of Jena, where he focused on theology and philosophy. Upon graduation, Grimm became a teacher and professor of theology. Grimm also authored a Greek-English lexicon of the New Testament. Working with others, he published a work titled Concise Exegetical Handbook on the Apocrypha of the Old Testament. The Protestant author and theologian Grim died on February 22, 1891.
