Biography

Jeremiah Bascom Reeves lived from 1884 to 1946. Reeves was born in North Carolina and died in Missouri. His most well-known book is The Hymn as Literature, published in 1924. Reeves was a contributor to Lyric Religion, The Romance of Immortal Hymns, published in 1931. In 1942, late in his life, Reeves married Louise Calkins.
