Jesus and His Sacrifice by Vincent Taylor is subtitled"A Study of the Passion Sayings in the Gospels." Taylor was a New Testament professor at Wesley College. This book was first published in London in 1937. The book is divided into three parts. The first section explores the Old Testament as it set the stage for coming of Christ. Part Two examines the various words of Jesus found in Mark, Luke, and John. Also included are Paul's account of Jesus and the Lord's Supper as found in I Corinthians. With the Old Testament foundation laid and the actual words of Jesus regarding his suffering, the final part of the book explains the doctrinal significance in what Jesus said. Taylor includes indexes of scripture cited, topics and people in the book.
